During her 20+ years of counseling experience, Coach Mickey began to wonder who was helping our teens. She realized that she wanted to make a difference in teenagers’ lives – empowering them with a new skill set to face challenges, and improve their relationships through self-awareness. So, Coach Mickey is proud to be a member of the very first Teen Wisdom ™ Life Coach Certification graduating class, offered by Tami Walsh, MA, founder of Teen Wisdom ™ Inc. To date, Coach Mickey is 1 of only 24 Certified Teen Life Coaches in the entire country.
There is no greater drama than what can be generated by teenagers, especially in a blended family. Coach loves working with teens and children. Everything is new to them – everything is for the first time. And so, they especially, are highly emotional and vacillate between over-reaction and sullen withdrawal.
As a Certified Teen Life Coach, Mickey is able to offer a unique coaching experience, designed especially for teens, pre-teens and young adults, minus any objections or worry over “having to do therapy.” In every session your teen will learn new coping skills and gain a new and different perspective of what’s going on in their life. Over-reactions will decrease, and a new, calmer understanding will emerge in your house.
Coach Mickey is proud to be a member of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists (AAMFT), American Counseling Association (ACA), the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists (CAMFT) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF). And, Coach has been a Mentor for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) for the past several years.
